Imagine :
We are at the scene of a crime. The Police haven´t got a lot of evidence. They´ve got one small hair from the criminal´s head. But with that hair, they´ve got a lot of information about the criminal, thanks to the science of DNA.
Every person on this planet has got DNA in their body. And every person´s DNA is different. Scientists can look at one hair from a person´s head and say , for example :
The person is a man
He hasn´t got brown eyes
He´s got black hair
He´s tall and thin.
Thanks to the scientists, we´ve got a picture of the criminal!
